    Beatiful and powerful hard drive!...

    I bought this hard drive to use it as a back up of my digital work. First of all, the design is beautiful, it looks wonderful on my desk,then, it is so easy to use, there is no need to install any kind of software or driver, it was recognized immediately by the computer and it is really really fast and quiet. I just love it, actually I am looking for another one just like these.

    Excellent External Hard Drive

    This item is a great way to manage your files, it takes the energy directly out of the outlet of the wall so your laptop doesn't suffer the consequences of feeding the energy to the drive, besides is really quiet and the interface is really fast, and finally the quick on/off button is really handy. I definetely recommend this product, even a little bit large in size, is a great tool for people taking files and using them on the house or the office.

    Western Digital My Book 500GB External HDD

    What I love about this particular item is that it is a Western Digital, and with that, comes the capacity to operate correctly and efficiently. Although this is second hand, it still operates as though it was bought brand new from the retail store. The ease of use for backing up files, and the quickness that the drivers needed to backup your entire hard drive is very simple. I can honestly say that I am 100% satisfied with this product and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone that wanted to get an external drive.

    WESTERN DIGITAL DRIVE IS GREAT

    I am not using the hard drive the traditional way. I am using the device for use with my DISH Newtork DVR 612 as a way to store recorded TV shows.. But using this drive for this DVR so far is woerking perfectly. I have always purchased WD hard drives because of the great reviews I read about these devicec.

    Excellent!

    The greatest thing about this drive is that it matches all the other "My Book" drives I have. Unless you don't care what your computer room looks like, buy all kinds of different externals, and you'll get that "hodge podge" look. No two others look alike. Nothing needs said about the Western Digital brand... you either like 'em or not, and this review won't change your mind about that. But, I, personally have had very good luck with them, but remember, you can get a lemon in a Cadillac!!! No brand is without its problems!
