Growing Up Persian, a Great Graphic Memoir
This Graphic Novel is honest, personal, informative, a great story/memoir with wonderful graphics. I found Book 1 to be a sensitive recounting and the visual style a perfect match with its Persian motifs. I loved Book 2 even more. It absorbs you into the trials of an individual journey and a fascinating world . Couldn't put it down.

This is a great series. Before the first book I had never seen this type of story in a graphic novel format. The pictures really help the reader relate to what is happening in the story. Great book! These books are even good for those that don't like to read that much. There are no long winded paragraphs. It's just like a comic book. I love it. Completely unlike anything else I have ever read.
