About this product
Product Information
Rap Renaissance Man 50 Cent uses his second video game to solve some problems in the Middle East, but his motives aren't altruistic, and he isn't out for world peace; he's after the organ-harvesting former CIA operative who made off with his concert money. Featuring the sort of bullet-riddled, combo-heavy gameplay of titles, such as The Club and Stranglehold, Blood on the Sand lets gamers take control of 50 and his G-Unit compadres Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and DJ Whoo Kid, as they blast their way through two fictional countries looking for money and revenge.
The action primarily unfolds in a run-and-gun manner, where stringing together kills and uncovering caches of loot earns players money and points that can be used to purchase new weapons or "Counterkill" finishing moves. The game also makes use of a cover system that can be used during more intense battles, and rail-shooting segments let 50 man a gun turret while his bandmates take control of an SUV and a helicopter. The online multiplayer mode lets friends drop in for quick co-op action, where they can take control of the other G-Unit members, each of whom comes armed with a unique weapon. Fans of 50's day job need not worry, as Blood on the Sand features 18 exclusive songs, as well as a selection of tracks from his previous albums.

OVERALL GAME RATING (QUICKVIEW)
Graphics: 8/10
Sound: 9/10

Gameplay: 7/10

Overall: 7.5/10
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are very good in this game. I went into the game with low expectations (considering the last 50 Cent game release). The in-game rendering, images, and colors really put you into the desert. The most interesting thing that this game does well are the explosions, and the animations of the deaths. The shadows, lighting effects, and motions are good, and get you into the game. The enemies, though generic and repetitive, are well done, and the boss battles look great when in the heat of the mix.
Sound: 9/10
What gives this game a 9/10 in the sound department is the soundtrack. If you are a “50” fan, you will love this soundtrack. I wanted to keep playing the game to progress further and to obtain more and more songs. The score to the game is great too. The explosions, enemy banter, and side commentary really fill in this game. Don’t let your kids play it though.
The voice acting is good for what it is. What is impressive is that they were able to get Lance Reddick (The Wire/ Fringe) for a cameo role.
Controls: 7/10
The game is easy to pick up and play if you are a fan of the Gears of War series. The controls get a little sketchy when you want to run from cover to cover, or when you want to pinpoint a grenade throw. The shooting aspect is very well done, but the movement and cover controls knock this score down a bit.
Gameplay: 7/10
Let me start by saying that when playing this game with a friend in the co-op mode, there is nothing better. But if you have to go it solo, this is still a fun experience. This game can be completed in about 4-8 hours (depending on skill level and difficulty setting), but it is an enjoyable experience. It is a through back to some fun gaming without the serious overtones found in many games.
Replay Value – 6/10
This is a good game, and a fun game, to play. The game is not too serious, and silly on it’s premise of why 50 Cent is fighting the Middle East. This being said, this was an enjoyable playing experience, especially in co-op mode, to go through. All I can say is that if you disregarded this game because of it being a 50 Cent game, take another look and you won’t be disappointed.
If you liked Gears of War, then you may like this.

50 Cent: Blood on the Sand was a great installment to the original, "50 Cent: Bulletproof." Honestly I didn't know what to expect from a 50 Cent sequel video game but surprisingly it was good! However, I did beat the entire game in 1 week which I guess is an improvement to "Bulletproof" as I finished that in just a couple of days. They need to make the story lines longer and in the case of this one...Better! Besides the new realistic weapons, I really like the fact that you can be more in control during a melee kill. Overall, I loved that this new 50 Cent game was a lot more interactive than the last.
People buy this game. Compared to the first it's a total revamp. The controls were great. If you play solo your partner AI helps out alot. I'm a shooter fan so I loved the gun play. The music is good throughout on a lower volume. You collect money smashing crates almost at every turn. The opponant AI are smart. They react to your moves. Overall I give 50 Cent a 9.0 review.
