    An All Time Great!

    I bought the vinyl LP in mono when it was first released, after reading a review in Down Beat magazine. I pretty much wore it out trying to learn Clapton's style. Fast forward to the late 1980s, and I bought the CD. Not good. The mix and balance were just "off" and it sounded flat. I read a review of this Steve Hoffman remastering and decided to go shopping for it. This is it! This remastering has all of the punch and "balls" of that mono first pressing, but with a carefully placed stereo mix. I am usually reluctant to buy more expensive versions of albums that I already own, but in this case, I'm very happy that I did.

    GREAT REMASTER!!

    Surprisingly, at least to me, this DCC Gold disc is far and away the best sounding version of this album I have come across. I have tried numerous domestic CD's and CD's from Japan & the UK/EU and this CD bests them all sonically. However, while I was fortunate to be able to purchase it at a fairly reasonable price, I'm not sure it's worth the ridiculous price some sellers are asking for it. Just my opinion...
