It works fine, but it won't "cover the whole home"

Worked immediately out of the box without issues. We leave it in the living room, and signal and bandwidth are great in the living room, but in the master bedroom that is 10 steps away signal quality is much lower and bandwidth is quite bad. If we close the bedroom door, the signal is so weak that connectivity drops all the time. By comparison, we connect with better signal to the neighbors' networks, which are behind walls.

  • Very nice unit for the money, and improved range over standard antenna type

Almost seamless set-up, right out of the box. Software allows user to unplug old router, and set up new unit, simultaneously; with little time or interruption. Standard features of most routers with WEP and WPS security. Pros: Easy to set up. Takes up less space than traditional antenna-array routers. Soft glowing indicator lights. Sends a more "focused" signal to WiFi based units, and with a much longer range than D-Link's predecessors. Sleek black design. Cons: Does not provide activity indicator (no blinking lights). Lights are only solid when lit.

  • Highly recommended

I highly recommend this router and D-Link in general. I don't need to reboot it constantly like many others. I have experience with many routers due to my work. This has many advanced features found in business class routers. Separate guest network with true isolation, firewall, QoS engine, OpenDNS with automatic DDNS, captcha on login, and much more. I would rather use 2.4Ghz over 5Ghz so I didn't need a dual band router. 5Ghz has no range to it.

  • Ok router not the best

The range isn't what my old DSL wifi unit put out. Have to get a range extender to get better coverage house wide.

  • Good Router

Covers our whole home from end to end. I am not the most computer savvy person, so I got help with the installation, and the customer support was excellent
