    Ball Ends v. Little Black Beads

    I bought these to put on an inexpensive ukulele with a slotted bridge. The wood had cracked a little on the G string, so I thought the ball ends would be better than tying a great, big knot. I've purchased the strings before for a uke with bridge pins, and the "balls" on the strings were attached to the string itself and clear or maybe white. This set is different. They have knots tied in them and little black beads strung onto the string. Well, I could have done that myself with my favorite string brand. They work, they're just not what I expected. The black beads look a little wonky, but they work. Just not what I expected, and if you have purchased these before, they might not be what you expect either.
