Product Information

The Belkin wireless router is a wireless unit designed to provide shared Internet connection between home computers on the same network without the use of bulky cables. The Belkin My Essential ME1004-R supports 802.11g Wi-Fi wireless standard protocols while retaining compatibility with earlier 802.11b units. The Ethernet switches in this versatile 4-port wireless router provide network connectivity even with devices that do not have Wi-Fi capability. Wireless configuration of the Belkin wireless router may be completed through a simple, user-friendly Web interface, which allows administration from both MAC and PC systems. To protect the network from dangerous viruses or hackers, the Belkin My Essential ME1004-R contains Standard WPA and WEP encryption protocols integrated with the router, along with SPI and NAT firewall systems. The 4-port wireless router supports MAC address filtering, WPA, and WEP, along with 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption. This Belkin wireless router is capable of network sharing with up to 400 feet of coverage, making Internet connections throughout the home both simple and reliable.

    Excellent Router for basic in home use

    I bought a router so we could connect laptops wirelessly in the house. I didn't want to spend a fortune. I read reviews on inexpensive wireless routers and decided to try this one. I am glad I did. It only took about 5 minutes to set up and I have had absolutely no problems with it. My parents have a Netgear wireless router and they have to reset it at least once a day. I have never had to reset ours. We have had no problems connecting more than one computer to the internet. I would definitly reccomend this product to anyone looking for basic wireless service in their home.

    Nice little wireless router/gateway

    This is a nice little router for a small home network. It's easy to install for both novice and expert. Wireless range is fair to good. I put this in my Mom's house and it works great.

    Wonderful Product

    This is an excellent product. I was able to immediately create an in-home wireless network with this device. Have been using it since it arrived and have absolutely no problem connecting other devices in my house.

    Nice Router for the Price

    I love this Router and use it every day. Works very well for my Wifi needs for my Ipod Touch and Laptop. Very Nice product for the price.
