Best Baseball game on the SNES

I remember playing baseball games with friends on the SNES growing up such as Roger Clemens MVP Baseball. But Ken Griffey Jr Presents MLB was by far the most fun. Sure it didn't feature real players because it didn't have the MLB license that year, but it did feature real teams and real fun. The music was great, the character animations and temperament were amazing too. I remember players breaking bats and yelling "AHHH COME ON!!". Ahh, good times.

  • Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball

Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball is a Super NES baseball game that was released in 1994. The game has a Major League Baseball license but not a Major League Baseball Players Association license, meaning that the game has real stadiums and real teams, but not real players. The imaginary players have the same statistics as their real-world counterparts, and the game comes with a name-changing feature that allows players to change the athletes' names. Nintendo released a portable version of the game in 1997 for the Game Boy with real players and stats from the 1996 season. The gameplay is similar to its predecessor's, though it is sometimes sluggish due to hardware restrictions. The SNES version came with a promotional Ken Griffey, Jr. collector's card packed ...

  • Review of Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Basebal

I am not huge into sports games at all, but Ken Griffey Jr Presents Major League baseball is one of my all time favorite SNES games. It does not have MLB liscense but it still has players that resemble the real players on the team (Baltimore Orioles have a #8 that plays SS...hmmm now who could that be???) or funny names that resemble that teams city (B. Kidd and W. Earp among others on Texas). And if you're really picky you can go ahead and edit the names of the players on your team to resemble current players or the actual roster in 93 or 94 or whatever year this game came out. Pitching and batting are both simple. Baserunning takes some practice and fielding on your own takes A LOT of practice. If you get the game start off with auto-fielding (found in options menu you can ...

  • Excellent Game

This game is exceptionally fun. It is fast moving, the graphics are good for the time. All of the actual stadiums and teams are reflected, however all of the players are fake, except for Ken Griffey. The players do reflect their actual abilities though, and if you know some of youir favorite players numbers from back then you can easily figure out who is who. For example, the first baseman on the braves is named D. Crime, reverse that and it looks like "Crime Dog" which everyone knows is the nickname of Fred McGriff. And, this player is an exceptionally good power hitter, just like Fred. Overall, excellent game.

  • Ken Griffey Jr baseball

I’ve been playing since I was a kid. I bought this one as a backup to give our current cartridge a rest. My brother and I record our own stats beyond what the game does, and do our own leagues. Best baseball game ever made for any game system
