Product Information

The sequel to Namco's Air Combat (originally titled Ace Combat in the arcades), Ace Combat 2 features 30 missions that have players dogfighting computer-controlled enemy aircraft, detonating a power plant's core, flying through city streets, and escorting VIPs to safety. Following successful missions pilots can purchase new aircraft, each one with unique strengths and weaknesses. Selecting the best jet ahead of each mission is key as performing at a high level will unlock hidden missions and top-secret planes, including the elusive Stealth Bomber.

    Best air combat game on PS1 / PSX !

    Between AC2 and AC3, these are the best air combat games on the PSX / PS1. The music is also TOP NOTCH. I only wish that we could use the joypads using the Dual Shock 3. Personally, this is a top 10 game on this gaming platform.

    Good for the era, easy to find cheap. Would recommend to anybody.

    Honestly, I love the Ace Combat Series. I have a Playstation 2 and owned the three made for it. I wanted more, so I went out and tried buying a Playstation game, from before the others were made. This game is good, but (as expected) the graphics aren't amazing and the gameplay is surprisingly difficult compared to the others. For the era, however, I think that this was very well made and would recommend it to anybody who was looking for a game of this type for the original Playstation. If anything, I felt like the game was more arcade-like than the others, pointing back to the Ace Combat/"Air Combat" series' origins in the arcade.

    Amazing classic title in the modern Ace Combat series

    As a long-time Ace Combat fan starting from the PS2 games, being able to play one of the PS1 classics is an amazing experience. It's a simple game very easy to get the hang of, and it's tough to label someone as a veteran Ace Combat pilot if they haven't played this one-of-a-kind video game. With everything from canyon missions to named aces and tight dogfights, it's everything that made Ace Combat 04, 5, and Zero what they are. It all started here.

    ACE COMBAT 2 FOR PS1/2 FLYING GAME TEACHER

    This game is the more excellent of the teach a kid to fly games out there! There is a long bridge to teach acrobtic loops or roll a plane through bridge spires. This game has a canyon mission that can teach very accurate plane rolling through the entire canyon, if a individual can master this you can fly to any direction you choose no matter what orientation your plane is in. A rendition of the Tornado jet in this game is one of the best old German flyers ever made and is one of the most fun to fly. If you complete all the game missions you will get one of the coolest looking jets ever imagined by a flight game maker. If you want to train yourself at jet flight games "THIS IS THE ONE" as long as you have a PS1 or 2 and a dual analog controller you can achieve ...

    The amazing game

    Ace Combat 2 is a perfect game, soundtracks are absolutely incredible, graphics are good but not as good as the graphics of the 3rd installment of series, I highly recommend this game for everyone who’s in love with retro games.
