Football comedy to add to collection with Rudy, Titans, Longest Yard...
Every time football season swings around, I think of this old movie, and the wish that came true for a "do over". Robin Williams is tucked into a suit and tie, wears glasses, and works at a bank owned by his father-in-law...he seethes with comedy, he strains at the seams to look/act normal and to be taken seriously. My favorite part is when he is trying to talk Reno (Kurt Russell's character) into being the quarterback again and Robin Williams says "the teeth! Don't forget the teeth!" The movie gives hope that a do-over might be possible for us, too!Every time football season swings around, I think of this old movie, and the wish that came true for a "do over". Nice Past Glories Comedy
Kurt Russell and Robin Williams star in a good little comedy about past glories and past failures and getting a chance to relive them. Kurt was the star QB who threw the championship winning pass which was dropped by Williams. Now 25 years later they have a second chance at playing the game. Lots of great comic moments as the middle aged guys try to regain their high school glory!
