    Very nice!

    Had a cheap Chinese iron that was supposedly 60 watts and it was hard to solder even smaller connections and cooled down quick making me wait 1 to 2 mins between soldering. This iron is very nice it heats up super quick and stays hot even when soldering bigger 10 gauge connections for RC car motors. I knew having a better iron would be nice but I can't believe I even used my cheapy POS iron now that I have this one. Makes a huge difference in the finish of the joint.

    Poor quality product. Anymore I will buy from local stores. When buying things like this.

    Worked only one time. That was it. I thought it was a loose connection in the soldering iron tried to repair it. You can forget about repairing anything. A total waste of money. When I PLUGGED it in, it got real hot. The handle was even hot to the touch, so I had to put gloves on to continue soldering. Should have known there was something wrong. This is the second time I got bad products when I buy equipment like this. Better to buy from local stores. To insure quality.

    Easy and powerful

    Weller Soldering Iron is made of quality material and is easy to use. Pros: LED lights add to the accuracy of your work. 80 watts are more than sufficient for most applications. Con: Important to use heat sinks to prevent heat damage to other components you are working on.

    Great small soldering iron.

    Great soldering Iron replacing old Iron that only works if you hold it at the correct angle. This Weller iron is 80 watts will be a lot better then old iron that was only 60 watts now all set for replacing all the marker lights on camper and on flat bed trailer with new LED lights. Weller is one of top brands and have been around for years.

    Love it , Hate it.

    I have been using these in an industrial setting for more than 25 years. There are probably 6 in use every day. Some of them stay plugged in all day every day. They used to last for years but in the last few years the quality of the heating element has gone down. I never used to send them back under warranty because they lasted so long or my guys abused them and caused them to fail. Now sometimes I have had some fail on the first day with absolutely no abuse. Some still last for a few months and others last a few weeks. I have been sending them back to Weller and telling them about the quality issue. They have always sent replacements and one time even sent an extra one for my troubles. About two weeks ago they sent a message back saying the failure was not under warranty but would send a ...
