Satisfactory experience. Would buy from this Seller again. Book listed as brand new and mostly met that standard, minus small areas of minor damage to a corner and to the binding edge of the dust jacket. Would have preferred that the "Target" sticker be removed before the adhesive transferred to the cover. Appropriate communication to confirm receipt of order, and to notify of shipping and delivery. Packaging was good but could have been better, which might have prevented the damage described.

    Eye Opener

    So far it’s interesting read. The writer is very expressive and detailed. He pulls you into his worldly thoughts about the life he has encountered, and makes noticeable sense of how these experiences shaped and molded his life. Great book, although I’m on let 1/4 through reading it, I highly recommended.

    Lively Book Club Selection

    Excellent book, causing a very lively, lengthy discussion at my last Book Club meeting. Even though it is well written, it is dark and disturbing, many in the group had strong negative feelings about it.

    This book will awaken you, Its a must read if you are an American.

    This is a book that I needed to read, needed to hear the words spoken as much as I regretted hearing them. Hearing Ta-Nehisi voice truths to his son was breath taking at times. Sometimes it reminded me of my experience growing up as a homeless teen in the 60's, wondering if and when I would ever get a piece of the so called American Dream if I could only work hard enough. Blaming myself for every mistake I ever made for my mediocre life. This book along with many others forced me to understand that, I must not leave this planet without educating daughters, grandchildren, and great-grand children. The America is deliberately hard to obtain if you are in a black body. The dream for America does not now nor never was a promise to those considered three fifths of a human being. I could ...
