Rockstar's Midnight Club racing series makes its first appearance on next-gen consoles after a three-year hiatus. Instead of solely focusing on the nighttime racing scene, Midnight Club features a 24-hour day-night cycle set in densely populated Los Angeles. Powered by the same graphics engine used in Grand Theft Auto IV, the title offers arcade-style racing from either a behind-the-car perspective or a dashboard viewpoint with working dials and animated steering wheels. There are no longer menu screens to navigate or linear missions to follow. The entire city is available to explore from the start, so players are free to travel wherever they want, looking for opponents to challenge in races designed to test their driving prowess. Up to four players can compete simultaneously online via PlayStation Network.<br><br>Reputation points earned from races can be traded in for new vehicles, performance parts, and special race invitations. The digital version of Los Angeles is the largest city featured in a Midnight Club game to date. Spanning an area larger than all three cities combined in 2005's version, Midnight Club: Los Angeles has players switching between an aerial perspective to plan routes and a street level view to prowl for potential events. Initiating races involves flashing the vehicle's lights to signal an opponent and then driving to a designated start point. Any damage received while driving or racing can be repaired at various garages. Multiple vehicle types are available from different eras and include motorcycles. Midnight Club: Los Angeles also features a licensed soundtrack by popular recording artists.

I use a shipping rate for Canada which is the same price no matter which game you buy. The Nintendo DS game that you bought happens to be extremely light.For 95%+ of the games, the shipping price makes sense.However, some games are heavier and some games are lighter than the average - so there is an aspect of fluctuation that I account for. But you're right about the total price, that's what matters, I also currently have "Best Offer" on - so you can always make an offer to get a better price.

    If The Fast & Furious was a game, This would be what you'd imaged.

    Midnight Club: Los Angeles, is in fact a great game! This game is actually one the oldest PS3 games I've kept up with over time, as other games were traded off. I actually traded this game in about a week ago for fast cash. I've since regretted that move that why I bought it back from ebay. This game has alot of realistic feature with it's over the top game play. Rockstar really capture the city of Los Angeles to the fullest with all it land mark. The driving simulation is smooth and legit. The graphics amazing! This title about 5yrs old but it still hold ups it's reputation. So if your looking for a fast past street racer with tons of licensed cars & bikes to fix and modify, Then this is the game for you.

    Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Playstation 3)

    Great game... good graphics and fun to play!! Online play is very fun as well because you can play with your friends that have mcla as well and cruise arounnd the city. Also, theres a tournament kind of thing you can enter by designing your own car and other people can even buy it and you get paid in the game for it so you can purchase other cars, accessories, etc. I would recommend this game to anybody that just wants to race and cruise around and do tricks and doesnt have to be so competittive!

    When GTA meets need for speed. A perfect mixture!

    One of the best street racing series out now. In this game you get a lot of freedom to do what you want. From the GTA free roam style (you can't exit your car though, but remember this is not GTA) and a wide choice of highly customizable cars. They range from American classic muscle cars, imported tuners, luxury to exotics. My favorite feature about this game is the awesome dashboard view. With working accurate customizable clusters/gauges that vary with the type of car you drive! You are not forced to race with anybody but recommended to progress in game. As you build your "rep" other racers with actually call you and challenge you to a race of your choice. Overall a pretty cool challenging racing game with good physics. Recommended!

    Intense

    This game will have you yelling and shouting at the TV. The choice of cars are off the hook!!! I like the way the cars are handled. What I didn't like is that I always seemed to get lost, or go off course somehow. That's very easy to do in this game. Racing a car and looking at the GPS isn't always easy to do. But so far, this is one of the best racing games I've played in years.
