Product Information

Fans of cold-weather sports find international competition in Vancouver 2010, a high-def generation video game based on the 21st Winter Olympics. Focusing on individual events with elements of speed and danger, the game makes 14 separate cold-weather sports are available for play, including multiple modes of skiing and snowboarding, speed skating, and downhill track events such as bobsleigh and luge. A first-person view is available in most events, to further challenge the player's reflexes and to impart a sense of speed. The game has a split-screen mode that allows simultaneous competition by up to four virtual Olympians on the same gaming system. Those with an internet connection can compete head-to-head against another online player, or post their best single-player scores to nation-wide leaderboards. Vancouver 2010 was developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software and published in North America by Sega, the same team that brought the summer Olympics to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 gamers in Beijing 2008.

I use a shipping rate for Canada which is the same price no matter which game you buy. The Nintendo DS game that you bought happens to be extremely light.For 95%+ of the games, the shipping price makes sense.However, some games are heavier and some games are lighter than the average - so there is an aspect of fluctuation that I account for. But you're right about the total price, that's what matters, I also currently have "Best Offer" on - so you can always make an offer to get a better price.

    good game but lacks a little substance.

    Found game on EBAY for unreal price, couldn't pass it up after the great Olympics we had. Very impressed with the game, and the graphics. Contrary to other reviews of this game, I find it addicting. Others have said it can get boring very fast. You can play in "Olympic mode" "training mode" or "challenge". There is some truth to the fact that there is ZERO difference between training and olympic modes other then the medal presentation at the end of Olympic. It would have been nice if they had a few more events on there, or if you could do a hockey tournament. With the events that they DO have however they hit it out of the park.

    Muy buen juego y con gran rejugabilidad

    Vancouver 2010 es el mejor videojuego de olímpicos de invierno hasta la fecha; lamentablemente con el paso de los años se dejaron de lanzar juegos temáticos licenciando las olimpiadas invernales y esta al ser su última entrega por parte de SEGA fue un buen cierre, aunque extrañé en su momento que no incluyeran disciplinas como el Curling y el Biatlón.
