Very powerful with a few caveats
Very sophisticated and virtually unlimited in capability. Programming requires access to the desktop development environment which URC tries to keep out of the hands of end-users, but can be obtained. I bought this product as a backup for an existing MX3000 into which I have spent an enormous amount of time programming, basically as a hobby. Undoubtedly, newer platforms based on modern mobile devices are ultimately more capable and far easier to construct advanced environments. Nevertheless, the MX3000 can be quite amazing depending on one's expertise and willingness to expend the requisite effort.Very sophisticated and virtually unlimited in capability. Advanced automation installers only, not beginners!
This is an excellent piece but it is not for beginners! I am a certified advanced automator with Universal Remote Control Inc and even with my knoledge and experience it still can take several hours to get one of these programmed and tweeked. That's if you are good. If you have not been factory trained on this product or have a good background on programming remotes, macro's, etc you might want to look at something more simple or pre-programmed. Experience needed to Program unless you're a real techie..
I'm a pro user and AV dealer so I have the software and experience needed to program these item so just have a plan for getting someone to program these units for you. Good Luck..
