Great item. Just as described. Item packaged with care for protecting the item. Shipped as they did. Granted the post office misdirected the item 3 times so was delayed by 4 days. That is out of the seller's control. Would purchase from again.

    A fantastic sequel!

Ok, so yes, I'm old enough to have been 11 years old when the NES came out. I was obsessed. I'll never forget playing the first Super Mario Bros. For those my age, you remember what that was like! Life changing. I was glued to that game until I mastered it. However, I started playing guitar a couple years later and got into rock and roll. Video games hit the wayside. I never played Super Mario Bros 2 back in the day. I was curious, so I just recently bought it. 30 years late, but never mind. It was weird at first. Different. Maybe too different. I watched some YouTube game play vids before I bought it thinking how weird it looked, and that I probably wouldn't like it, but I owed it to myself to take one for the team and but it anyway. So I got it. It arrives. The first 15 mins are awkward ...

  • The Story of Super Mario Bros 2

Will the real Super Mario Bros 2 please stand up? Super Mario Bros (SMB) purists will argue that this version of the SMB NES trilogy is not the actual SMB2. In Japan, SMB2 was released in 1986 as a sequel to SMB. Due to its similarity to its predecessor and the significant increased degree of difficulty, Nintendo of America decided not to release it in the United States. Instead, Nintendo of America re-branded the Japanese popular game Doki doki panic, with the Super Mario characters, and released it as SMB2. This explains why the enemies and power-ups we were all familiar with in SMB, did not appear in SMB2. The "real" SMB2 was eventually released in North America as part of the collection available in the SNES game Super Mario All-Stars, and was renamed SMB: The Lost Levels. While ...

  • The quirky, American release of Super Mario Bros. 2 will entertain!

After the success of Super Mario Bros. A sequel was released in Japan that highly resembled the gameplay and look of the original. However, Nintendo quickly assumed that Mario's new adventure would be far to difficult for American gamers. Their solution was to add some Mario sprites into a game called 'Doki Doki Panic' and slap the Mario name onto it and call it Mario 2 in the United States. The real (japanese) Mario 2 is now known as the 'lost levels' in the united states and was later released on the snes with updated graphics as a part of the 'Mario All-Stars' compilation. In the meantime, American gamers plucked vegetables, carted keys, and utilized the abilities of the four different playable characters to defeat the dastardly frog, Wart. Though radically different from its ...

  • Super Mario Bros. 2 is just as fun today as it was way back when!

Even though this game is a little different than the other Mario games and is often looked at as the "black sheep" of the series, I think it's just as fun as many other games from the NES library. It has the same basic gameplay as the other Mario games, except you can now pick up objects and enemies to throw around. There are no Koopas or Goombas in the game, but you still get to face off against classic enemies such as Birdo and Wart. Good stuff!

  • Mario bros 2

Great game in japan this game is known as doki doki panic. Nintendo changed the characters and released it in north america under the msrio bros name. Its a good game and fun to play its very diffrent from mario 1 or mario 3 its predecessor and successor but all in all a great fun title
