These adapters solve many little issues I have with my gear. I can now use standard 3.5mm extension cables in my nice headphones that use the 2.5mm jack. Same with my Panasonic landline handsets. I've had name-brand versions of this adapter that didn't work. These are cheap and work great!

wow this made the wrost noice ever on my phone head sets & being deaf it sure worke my ears up :(can not use on my radio shack 900mah phone.so i keep look for another kind 2.5 to a 3.5 plug in. i had to hole it while it was plug in to get dial tone then when I let go wowow nono! not for this phone to long of 2.5 plug .so thanks for letting me try this one but sure wish it would of worked for my deaf headsets . alisa from wyoming take care & maybe I find one that will work :)

Nice adapter to plug into the Bose QC35 headphones so that a normal 3.5 to 3.5mm cable of any length can be used. Bose use a 2.5mm to 3.5 mm cable that is only 4 ft long!

Works with Baofeng UV-5R speaker port
Got this for my Baofeng UV-5R because they swapped the mic and speaker jacks for some reason. This adapter allows me to use any wired headphones instead of the terrible headset that came with the Baofeng. As far as I can tell, it works as expected. Only the left speaker works, but that could be by design of the Baofeng. Audio quality was not great, but again, I suspect the Baofeng is to blame. Only giving 4/5 stars because I can't be certain that it is the Baofeng, and not the adapter. Unfortunately, didn't work with a Panasonic house phone
I took a chance this would work to connect my cellphone headphones to a Panasonic house phone, but it didn't work. More my bad for trying since the 2.5mm side has 4 segments, while the house phone normally takes a 3 segment male connector. Otherwise it looks like a very nice adaptor, so for applications that need 4 distinct channels it's probably fine.

Great adapter for that hard-to-fit 2.5mm size.
Many smartphones and most digital cameras use the 2.5mm plug. This will let you use equipment that has the 3.5mm plug on the 2.5mm devices. I'm going to use it to adapt a microphone to my mirrorless digital camera.
