    Rolling Stone and their review of this recording are right!

    This is "early" George Jones...His early style is reminiscent of Hank Williams songs from the era. Jones voice is not the mature deep and resonant one that I would rather enjoy. Rolling Stone rated this one very high on the All Time Greats of C&W. I'm glad I have it in my small collection of favorites. My research showed that there are a LOT of choices and this one should be in the top few if you like George Jones recordings.
