Practical and great for the price
I'm clumsy when it comes to phones so I wanted the Otter box for this reason. I debated which one should I get because there are so many options. I decided to go with the symmetry because of its ease of application. It is very easy to apply and is durable. Unlike some other OtterBox cases, the symmetry is lighter and less bulky. The LG G5 OEM Authentic Otterbox Symmetry case is quite sturdy. It's a little bulkier than I prefer, but should provide excellent protection from everything except a direct hit to the screen. The back is hard plastic, and the front ring around the bezel is rubber. While the hard plastic rear makes it easier to slide in and out of pockets, it's less grippy in the hand. Still, the rubberized front does provide adequate grip. The rubber over the volume control is a little stiff, requiring a bit of extra pressure to operate. Saved my G5!
Accidentally dropped my G5 face down on rough asphalt. Face planted with a loud sickening crunch so I was expecting it to be a gonner. Lo and behold, not a scratch! If I was using my other TPU cases at the time I'm not sure if my G5 would have survived.
