I contacted the seller before hand to confirm that my blank (totally black but had sound) tv screen symptoms were typical and likely to be repairable. They confirmed that it was. Packaged up the main board and shipped it out for repair. the repair came back a few days earlier than projected. I reinstalled the board into my tv and voila! it worked again. I debated doing the repair at all but im glad i did. 5 stars!
