Store price has doubled in the last 15+years, since Sand & Sable first appeared, a lovely combination of florals reminiscent of Gardenia, Honeysuckle, florals that are so enjoyable. The price was inexpensive then, however I expected it to sell for maybe $19.99, as it was never a designer fragrance, more like vanilla musk & others that averaged $10 to $12 a bottle back then. It now runs $32 to $38? So this was an exceptional buy! A 2 bottle gift box. Sweeter than wine
I remember all so long ago how sweet Sand and Sable perfumed smelled almost like walking past honeysuckle. Still can bring back a'lot of yesteryear memories. I still keep some on hand and if I want to walk down memory lane, I will spray some in my bedroom or on my pillow. One of my two younger sisters has an terrible time with skin allergies. This is the only perfume that she has ever worn that does not break her out.. When I can locate some, I will buy all that they have for she and I. I recall people would remark, oh you smell so sweet. It has a lingering effect long after you have walked away. Sand and Sable is just about the only perfume as to where they have not compromised their formula. There are a few more but not many. She wears it every day of the week because it never gets old and it also does not have that knock out punch smell that only lasts for a few hours. Though it is a bit different from the way it smelled, originally, I still love it! It is more of a floral scent now, as it's missing that "beachiness" that it once had. I've been wearing this since my high school years.
