Walking is a challenge--every step is painful and one never knows when a knee is going to give out and collapse on you. When this happens just be prepared to pick yourself up off the ground. A friend recommended these braces and they are wonderful! They are not a cure-all but they minimize the pain and I have not found myself on the ground since I started using them! If you have this problem--get some!
