    True to content of the film.

    Soon to be a defunct format, this DVD is still a lovely thing to own. Frank Capra's visually masterful discussion of the beauty of introspection in post depression era United States remains an American classic. The parallels to Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" are not to be ignored. Within the shadow of the ending of the second world war this film typifies what matters in the human condition regardless of religion or politics. This film discusses love & family, work & play, failure & success, greed & charity, and finally absence & presence. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the film.

    It is still a great story.

    I love this story and always try to watch it around Christmas. This particular DVD has a problem with the lip sync. Not a big deal for me, but you might want to spend a few more bucks to get it right.

    Christmas Movie Classic

    I am more than satisfied with my purchase of my favorite Christmas Movie and am about to purchase another copy. borrowed a Friend's VHS format copy and ran it into the ground , so will now be giving her a brand new DVD copy with added special features , commentaries etc. And it is still in black and white which is what I'm familiar with with this movie , have yet to experience it in the many colorized versions out there . maybe one day . And oh you cannot beat the price

    Best version, still an excellent story, even in today's hetic world.

    Bought this to give to my daughter who just moved into her first house. This is the best version. Black and White, full length. This is the exact copy my wife and I have been watching for 20 years. Probably will buy another one for my son. We reenacted the house scene with the bread, salt and wine. Every time I watch this film, I see a little bit more of Americana and love it.

    Best Holiday Movies of All Time

    These are movies that must be watched every holiday season. I was tired of commercials and edited versions so I purchased these. I was able to find them as a set. If for some reason you haven’t seen these, gather the family and watch them on Christmas.
