    I watched positive YOU TUBE reviews on this particular set of strings and decided to try it for myself. I have a G&L L2000 Tribute bass that has tons of tonal combinations and wanted the best sound available. These give a very strong signal as advertised, grt. low end, but what I really liked is in specific G&L settings I was able to get the cool piano-tone that cuts through the mix. The set costs a little more than many because they are special in design and composition of materials, NOT because of retailer pricing - it is VERY competitive in that way. String noise is minimal from fingers
