About this product

Product Information

Not long ago, high school student Mike Jones ended an alien threat by stopping the forces of Zoda from taking over Earth, saving his uncle Dr. Steve Jones and a few good aliens in the process. Unfortunately, Zoda has returned, and it's up to Mike to stop him once and for all.<br><br>The story plays out in the form of many chapters. After Mike has completed an important part of the game, the next chapter is reached. Mike has several weapons to choose from, including an axe, rocks, a dagger, and a katana blade. He can also pick up special weapons that are limited in quantity. The view is overhead, and Mike's life force is gauged in hearts. It can increase if he finds a "big heart" item. With 20 types of enemies to defeat, Mike definitely has his hands full. But saving the world sure beats going to high school!

    Great game sequel of Star Tropics first edition

    Zoda's Revenge II is fairly great game. It was second to last from Nintendo and a compelling game for those who played Star Tropics first game edition. What a nostalgia! It feels great to be able to play it and own a brand new copy of it for collection. I definately recommend it.

    Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics II

    For anyone who has ever played the first Star Tropics, this is a must play. I find that i enjoyed this one better than the first, as the different areas were very unique, exciting, and kept me very entertained for the most part. I did find this one a little easier then the first one, however. The bosses are cleverly designed, and increase in difficulty as the game goes on. The level of non-action oriented game play is somewhat decreased from the first version, but i find i enjoy the action more so that was not a problem for me. Finally, the last level/boss fights are my personal favorite part of the game. The diversity of adding a new weapon, psychic power, gives the game more of a variety. This is definetely a five-star game if you are an avid NES fan and also have played and enjoyed the ...

    Long forgotten franchise that holds up.

    Among the last few NES games made, this didn't get much attention. It changes the series' formula to be more action focused. Much fewer annoying puzzles and traps. Consequently however, it's also more linear feeling. There aren't many secret rooms this time around. Still a must for NES gamers on a budget. It can be found at very good prices due to its relative obscurity.
