A Red Sox Fan's Dream Come True
I was told since I became a Red Sox fan back in the late 70s that I would NEVER see them win a World Series. I was not able to see the ALCS or Series on TV cuz of bad reception (no cable or satellite) so I had to watch the "play by play" on MLB.com. It was a total joy to see shots of the excitement building to that wonderful event. Us Red Sox fans were too used to "near misses" & we saw some of that on the DVD (from previous years) BUT--This time we saw what we knew could & would happen.I was told since I became a Red Sox fan back in the late 70s that I would NEVER see them win a World Series. well i bought this dvd because when i decided to come here to live from Dominican Republic i went to Boston in 2003 over there i use to like & love every major league team. When i got to boston there was only one team the boston red sox,so since then you know im a red sox fan but i still buy other team jerseys but not any yankees. In the dominican every body wants to be a baseball player and play for the yankees but those 5 years living in boston change me completly. that's why i bought this dvd to remember and live again that timewell i bought this dvd because when i decided to come here to live from Dominican Republic i went to Boston in 2003 over there i use to like & love every major league team. ...receiving that slider from Curt Schilling, or winning catch by Polke Reese to close out the Yankees. The action and clarity of the game makes you feel like you were a part of this legendary team. Count on the post season games being the most exciteable, and thereby, most viewed in this dvd. Many records were broken in the series with the Yankees and Cardinals. These Red Sox have something to shoot for then and now that they made it, look at whats happened the last couple of years concerning the team. This is once and a lifetime viewing of documented play by plays including highlights of the rising star David Ortiz aka Big Papi....receiving that slider from Curt Schilling, or winning catch by Polke Reese to close out the Yankees. What I dislike about this dvd is that it skips a few times towards the end. I decided to buy this DVD because I like to have a collection of all the MLB World Series.
