    Fits device tightly and is lightweight

    This is the second cover like this we have purchased for the iPad. The first one lasted four years with continual daily use so it is well made. lt is designed to protect the device completely and it does, leaving access to all necessary ports/buttons. The cover when closed immediately puts the iPad in sleep mode so the battery lasts longer. When close totally protects the device. Easily folds back for use as a stand or just to hold in your hand.

    Excellent case

    I bought this case for my old IPad 2 to protect it. I have a leather case from Apple for a mini. I think that the fit and finish are excellent and worth the price especially at this price. No comparison to aftermarket products.

    ORIGINAL APPLE ITEM

    The MD454LLA iPad Smart Case is an authentic Apple item, the same as the original one I purchased from an Apple store. My original one wore out after years of service and I'm sure this one will do the same. I have a third generation iPad, the big heavy one and this cover was made to fit it. It has a snap close cover and a smooth leather--like exterior.
