Great camera for the money!!!!!!
I am relatively new to trail cameras, and this was the first camera I purchased. Here are the pros and cons after 2 years of use: Pros: -Battery life, I used the same set of batteries all summer and into the fall..Don't buy cheap batteries though.. -Ease of use..This camera is fairly simple to setup.. -Relatively fast trigger speed..Not as fast as a cuddeback, but if you are smart about where you place it, you can get great photos of passing deer without bait sites -Laser Aim feature...I like this a lot because you can get really precise in where you aim it to ensure you get complete photos of deer Cons: -BIG...this unit is pretty big...Being that this unit is big and not camo, it is pretty noticeable in the woods..I usually place mine in hemlocks or pines to seclude it ... I am relatively new to trail cameras, and this was the first camera I purchased. This is a great product for the money. Just wish they hadn't gone away from using the square 6 volt batteries. I prefer a rechargable battery and you can't use one in this unit and that sucks!!! regular batteries just don't work when it get cold out and they are expensive. This unit takes 6 d-cell. Do the math!!! D-cell rechargables are way expensive too. Other than that it's easy to use and takes really nice pictures when it works!This is a great product for the money. not user friendly
the camera is compact and easy to set up. it is light weight and wx proof. i still dont know how to make it take pictures, and be able to view them on my TV. If the pictures are on the unit itself(not the sd card) I canot retieve them. I set it up to monitor my garage door when i was on vacation, and it took two pictures, of what i dont know, cannot download them. And it should have taken more. I was gone a week, and had a dog sitter stop twice a day, and I thot it would take at least 14 pic's?, where they are i cant say. the battery is still at 85%, the camera mode on auto, and nothing happens? cannot figure it out..the camera is compact and easy to set up. it is light weight and wx proof. i still dont know how to make it take pictures, and be able to view them on my TV. Affordable & Reliable in one small package!!
The reason for buying another?? Simple.. To monitor movement of game animals on my property. How does this camera compare to others?? Well, It's not full of the "new" technologies (bells & whistles).. nor is it high on the mega-pixs.. but, it's a reliable, easy to use camera that has taken countless quality photographs showing me what I needed(wanted) to see. My personal dislike on this particular camera, would be lack of battery-life (especially when the temps drop). Otherwise, I would recommend this camera, this brand to any & everyone.The reason for buying another?? Simple.. To monitor movement of game animals on my property. After second thoughts, and a few more repairs on the many models of Moultrie game cameras,I have to raise the rating(just a little) on this cam. If you are looking for a super-fast trigger speed;3-shot bursts at night and have the flash operate on all 3 shots;high resolution pics/vids;long battery life;a cam to place on a game trail to catch a pic of that phantom buck...get a Cuddeback($$$$). If you want an economical cam to see what's coming to your feeder,or looking straight down a trail;with white flash so day&night pics will be in color;can sacrifice hair-trigger action for delays(1minute or more on auto start-up;1 minute or more after a flash shot for charge circuit to recharge;1 minute or more between events;1 minute or more to wake from stand-by),this cam may be what ...
