    Works better than you might think!

    I use this unit with an upright bass and a small bass amp. has a very nice sound. I am able to turn the gain down on the amp and and still get a clean powerful sound. The pro unit works better than the studio unit. I do have both! Works well with other instruments and vocal too.

    Did I get a defective unit?

    The static had to compete with the crackling and buzzing. The device was used but I have read reviews describing similar problems with new units. I tried a few different applications... amp, computer etc., nothing worked. It was even noisy with nothing plugged in.
