    Vostoks are great; this one doesn't run :-(

    My watch arrived looking great, and as to whether Vostok is a good value in watches, the answer is a resounding YES. Unfortunately, this particular Vostok watch does not run. Movements are inexpensive, so I'll try my hand at switching it out. I bought this more for it's historical significance (the 50th anniversary of Victory in Europe, WWII) rather than it's precision time-keeping anyway. However it is disappointing that I paid "full price" (still comically low for a mechamical watch) for a dud.

    Nice watch overall.

    Really nice styling on the face and back cover. Keeps very accurate time. Durable construction overall, but the unscrew - pullout winding and time set shaft assembly seems a bit flimsy, but it works. I would just question if the gears are going to wear from skipping when they don't mesh positively.

    Watch running so fast, time can’t keep up

    As a watch collector of all sorts I must say I’m sorely disappointed in this watch that I had so much faith in. This is not my first rodeo with vintage Russian watches, in fact the vintage Bostoc I own is one of my favorite mechanical pieces. The seconds hand doesn’t tick, it literally sweeps into the future. I can’t with this watch, wow!
