The mic works great. Easy to use with DSLR. The sound quality is significantly better than the in camera mic but there is still a little background noise. I was about 15 feet from my subject and had a little background noise from an AC unit in the room. I think it will work better on a mic stand that is closer to my subject. Can’t hear a huge difference
Maybe it’s just my ears . But I have a canon Eos m50 and I recorded with out a mic and with a mic and heard a tiny slight difference . It didn’t enhance the audio but it took out a little background noise
