Robinson plays Marco, spoofing his Little Caesar persona in a comedy spree based on Damon Runyon and Howard Lindsay's Broadway play. Lloyd Bacon, director of Robinson's gangster sendups Brother Orchid and Larceny, Inc., guides with screwball flair as corpses, creditors, the swellest of swells and more mayhem descend on Marco.     Terrific From Start To Finish

    With a cast of top notch character actors headed by Edward G. Robinson.... what else can you say? A SLIGHT CASE OF MURDER is a sure-fire classic. A must of movie buffs of all ages. The disc also comes with selected short subjects/cartoons and a newsreel from the era which makes it a five star popcorn night at the movies. Having seen this gem on TV as a kid on a lazy Sunday afternoon or on the now defunct Late Late Show (no cable in those days, folks).... it just gets better and better every time you see it. The story of a bootlegger gone straight and the hilarious complications that ensue are pure Hollywood genius. A Must See.

    Witty and funny

    Edgar G Robinson plays a bootlegger who decides to go strait after prohibition. Only problem ...his beer is horrible and it is not selling and he has never tasted it. What follows is screwball comedy with creditors, state troopers, bodies,stolen money and all kinds of trouble.

    I've always been a fan of Edw G Robinson and this film is no exception. Whether he's a gangster, an ex-gangster or simply portraying a hapless ordinary guy, he's worth the watch. This is good fun. Highly recommended.
