Things are about to take an adventurous but hilarious turn in 'The Heat.' This DVD begins with FBI agent Sarah Ashburn accepting her superior's consideration for a promotion within the department if she is able to take down a drug lord. Local cop Shannon Mullins teams up with Sarah for the case. They immediately dislike each other from their first encounter. Follow the duo as they go through many twists and turns throughout the movie. The combination of Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy is a comical one to say the least.

    Very funny, but not for young kids

    This is a very funny movie, with women as the stars. Ir's a send-off of the tough cop movies, and the stars are easy to like. There is a lot of foul language, too much even for me, so I would definitely not recommend it for young kids.

    NOT the funniest movie of 2013. Not even close.

    USA Today's Scott Bowles must have seen only one comedy in 2013. Granted, 2013's comedy offerings were a plethora of unwarranted sequels, remakes and just bad ideas in general, none have been worse than this horrible buddy cop film. Bullock's character is boring. McCarthy's character is crude, obnoxious and just really not funny. The only likeable and humorous character was McCarthy's character's mother, played by Jane Curtain, who's only in the film for about 10 minutes top. If you still want to check this film out, I suggest skipping the DVD and getting the Blu-Ray combo pack. It has hilarious commentary from Mystery Science Theater 3000 alumni Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu and J. Elvis Weinstein and they make watching this terribly unfunny film laughingly bearable as they lampoon it from ...

    THIS HEAT MOVIE COMES ACROSS VERY COLD AND VERY UNFUNNY!

    Don't be fooled by the marketing on the DVD like I was. Very unfunny movie with way too much profanity. Melissa Mccarthy is awfully unbelievable as a police officer. Not even the lovely Sandra Bullock can save this movie.

    Horrible Movie I wish I never bought it!

    This was a waste of money. The movie would be alot better if there was less swearing in it. I'm throwing it away I thought it would of been better then it was from reading the description about the movie. That was not made clear what this was about. If I could I'd return this movie its just not worth the money.
