    Crowded House - Together Alone

    Despite the sheer brilliance of the previous three albums, there is that extra something in Together Alone which makes it the most compelling of all. The title track, which features at the end of the album is the best finale you could hope for - when I heard it live, the sound and visual impact of a truly wonderful band supported by a full Maori choir really did bring tears to the eyes. This album offers the perfect balance of great sing along tunes and sensitive, atmospheric sound. I really can't recommend it enough.

    Crowded House - Together Alone (CD 1997)

    I have never been a crowded house fan or paid much attention to the group but this album has somewhat converted me. As I listened to the album I found myself saying 'Oh I never knew they did this one' again and again. There are some great tracks and a good variety of tunes also. I was very pleasantly surprised with this CD!

    threes a crowd - not in my house

    i bought this on the strength of listening to my bro's ipod . hes got an a album on there of one of their concerts - i just think (and i know im late in sussing these out as theyve been going about 15 years ) that for a contemporary pop band they write EXTRAORDINARILY good songs , i love most of the tracks on the album ; but especially private universe ,distant sun and fingers of love -with pineapple head and locked out close behind . i find thier songwriting style ;whilst not similar , just a thorough as Supertramp - its not just the lyrics or the tune or the singer or the cadence of the melody - its ALL THESE together that makes them and this such a great album . i wish id heard this ten years ago . A MUST HAVE FOR A GOOD RECORD COLLECTION
