    Works with most drills

    This is a good alternative if you don’t want to buy a much more expensive drill press but make sure your drill will fit in the collar. Two of my three drills did not fit.

    Not the best quality, Binds.

    Needs some kind of bearing to prevent binding. There is metal to metal contact between the column and the head. I use this to drill circuit boards using 0.8mm tungsten drill bits. I broke a few bits drilling just one board because of the binding I tried grease to no avail. The press starts to bind and you have to pull the handle harder then it frees up and the sudden movement brakes the bit. This gets worse as you continue to use it. This press needs some kind of bearing between the column and the head to prevent binding. also the point at which the downward pressure is applied is too far forward causing a slight forward rotation of the head causing even more binding. Maybe if you were using a larger drill and bits it might be ok but I doubt it.

    Ok for very light use

    This is ok for small drills. It is a bit top heavy, and needs to be clamped or screwed down to a workbench. It is not heavy duty, and is more for light duty use. The "Stop" is not very good, because it can slip down the bar. Plastic and metal parts together almost always lead to problems, and this will be no different. I only need it temporarily, and hope it will last for at least that long.

    Not bad for the money.

    Adequate product for drilling an occaisional perpendicular hole. Not highly accurate but better than freehand. Works better if attached to large plywood base, etc.
