    A definite must-have for total control

    As cheap as you can find these for nowadays, it makes no sense not to include it in your system. The remote iris and black/white balance controls are SO much more convenient than going to the camera which might be out of immediate reach anyway. Being a Sony product and usually sold in "unknown working condition", it's very unlikely that there will be any problems. I recommend cleaning the controls and switches (very easy to do) before use, and it's 95% certain that it will work perfectly when you fire it up. Also, the video gain and master pedestal controls make it very easy to compensate for changing lighting conditions.
