For the price it's pretty awesome, better than I expected but not without a few flaws. Overall the main chassis and motor assemby are as solid as can be. It lacks in the small metal parts that hold the chain adjustment, not very well put together but can easily be made better if you have basic tinkering garage skills.I just added a small spring to pull the arm down onto the chain and some small washers as spacers to keep the arm centerd on the chain, done. Once you get it dialed in it's all business, you can get a chain done fairly fast. I'm just an average firewood guy who does about 10 cords per year and general work in the woods. I got tired of the junky ol weak sloppy HF sharpener and came looking expecting to pay $400 for a nice oregon unit, I'm really glad I found this and did'nt pay the extra $$$. Compared to the HF sharpener this one is about a billion times better and should be more than enough to suit the needs of the average chainsaw dude.Read full review

Angle Gauge is off 2 deg left 4 deg right on 30 deg setting. Will not hold on angle setting moves when locking chain down. Large grinding wheel has a lot of wobble. The tooth that gets sharpened outside to inside comes out very nice the left tooth is left with a burr on it. I like vevor stuff but this one could use a little more fine tunning.Would return if i thought the next one would be better.

It works very well and yields a very sharp result. But I did make a couple of changes to it. The clamp that holds the chain didn't hold the chain tight enough. And the spring that raises the sharpening wheel up after sharpening each tooth would only raise it about 2 to 3inches and I wanted it to raise it higher so I didn't have to worry about hitting the wheel with my hand when moving the chain to the next tooth to be sharpened. Over-all, it is a very good machine.

Chain clamping is not adjustable. Wheel mount does not run true which creates vibration. Head mechanism is loose to the base which reduces precision and shakes a bunch when running due to the unbalanced wheel. Luckily I have machine tools and could make the needed upgrades. I have a Strongway sharpener that is much better designed and built at a similar cost.

It's a well made tool it takes a little leaning curve to work. I would also think if they made a circular saw bald sharpener I may buy one of them as well
