This fabric is the original fabric used to make U.S. military gear like the old M81 fragmentation vest (called a “flak jacket”). The fabric is very durable, although I’m not sure if it is waterproof. It’s a great choice for anybody wanted to construct some retro camouflage gear.

It would help to list this as a raw fabric without any sort of urethane backer application to prevent undue fraying along cut edges. Had it been described as such I would likely have passed on this material as it would require additional steps to render into usable workpieces
