    Battery arrived DOA, lots of time wasted because of it

    Battery arrived DOA. I've worked on Macs for a couple decades so know what I'm doing. Installed the battery, nothing. Tried lots of troubleshooting steps, still nothing. MacBook Pro wouldn't even start with this battery installed. Took this replacement battery out, the MacBook started off the AC adapter with no battery installed, so the problem is obviously the replacement battery. I returned this battery to the vendor and ordered a genuine Apple MBP battery from another vendor, this time direct from China, and the second replacement battery had the same markings on it but the packaging was different. Makes me wonder if this first defective replacement battery was truly a "genuine" Apple battery or a knock-off meant to look like an Apple battery. I would not recommend this product.

    Battery is OEM, no problem. Battery change-out contains sensitive pitfalls, and unfortunately, resulted in screen display problems after reassembly. Another instance of Apple trying to prevent you from DiY. Laptop is basically a throw-away when you add in display replacement, unless you purchase their extended warranty....
