Originally bought this just to pair with the disc I found, but was stoked to have the ability to now play the first 3 generations of pokemon games on my flat screen TV. Wish they'd make one for the Wii U to play DS and 3DS games tbh.

You should know that this REQUIRES the GBP startup disc. AOther than that no complaints here. What this is, its an attachment for your gamecube that lets you play Gameboy, Gameboy color, and Gameboy advanced games.

The device is very simple to install. A startup disc to interface the emulator for the gameboy games simplfies the operation. This is about as easy to operate as the gamecube itself. One of the advantages is the ability to play your old GBA games on the normal TV vice staring at a small GBA or DS unit. That is also where the issue exits. The resolution of the game doesn't change. Hence, the graphics are just as blocky as on a GBA. In addition, the screen will reduce the width to "square" the image. Overall it is a good device to play your long RPG type of games on a normal TV vice getting a headache from staring at the GBA/DS unit. Pokemon game fans will benefit the most.
i got this game cube at the thrift store with this player on it i did not know it needed a disc so i looked it up on ebay i saw the game boy player but couldnt get the disc without buying the player again i didnt mind because my son already had a gamecube so both players would have been fine i got the player with the disc hooked it on the game cube that thing was awesome you dont have to get exra wires to connect it fits perfectly on the bottom of the gamecube you use the same controllers as if playing a game cube game i can even take the disc out once i have started the game so my son can use it too the only thing i did not try is if i can save the games i played on the same memory card that the gamecube uses i dont know if somebody already tried it that can let me know i have a game boy advance sp so now i only use my game boy on the road seeing the game on the tv is awesome you dont have to look on the tiny screen anymore i dont have a big screen tv but i can just imagine playing my gameboy games on a big screen tv my kids love itRead full review
