    Curtain rail brackets

    The curtain track with curtains came crashing down just before Christmas, after searching 6 local shops for these type of replacement bracket with no luck, I was lucky to find these. Fitted they hold the track and curtains up solidly. Will buy more for spares.

    Not same as OEM but do the Job.

    A little tight and difficult to hook on the rail. But as oem parts are not available they do the Job. As a new item we don't yet know how they will cope with solar degradation which caused the failure of the old ones.

    They seem to be okay. Time will tell.

    This bracket is not an exact replica of the originals. the jaws are smaller making it difficult to fit them to the rail and the screws that lock it to the track are not long enough to secure it firmly. It was possible however to use the old screws from the original broken brackets but it would be more convenient if the proper length screws were supplied. I have managed to replace the required number to the rail and have hung the curtains which seem to be fine. I shall now hope the repairs are permanent. As a retired engineer I often wonder why when companies make copies of old products they cannot make them to exactly the same dimensions. The cost of production should be the same.

    I had a old curtain track which the brackets had broken but could not find the brackets in any shops for it but these done the job, just needed to use a bigger screw to fit it to the rail.

    The brackets are a perfect replacement for the old ones (20 years + ?), which had broken; they are almost identical.
