      Great find!

      This little part saved my Dyson. Who would have thought this tiny part would be so important. So glad eBay had it available. The Dyson website would have charged an arm and a leg if I hadn’t found it here.

      Wrong part

      I looked through dozens of websites for the swivel catch for the DC18. They all said obsolete/not available. I saw a gray part with a different part number and thought that I would give it a shot. It turned out to be slightly different in several dimensions. Evidently, Dyson has several swivel catch parts with very small differences. An hour or so of grinding with the Dremel was not successful.

      Does the job very well

      Cheaper then the whole hose assembly. Works well. Easy to install. Only negative is they got you one way or another, this part will fail eventuality and will have to be replaced. Kinda costly for a little piece of plastic.

      Exact Replacement

      The tool catch and spring were the exact replacement for the catch that broke in my Dyson DC25. The spring was not quite as strong as the original spring, but it works. My Dyson is repaired and works as designed. Very happy to have found the part.
