    Since it's from Japan, the manual is in Japanese. Didn't understand any of it but it works. The CD for the software set-up doesn't work for me but it doesn't really matter since it's probably in Japanese anyway. I think the cd may not work with foreign laptops. Anyway, the device itself works great and reads my Blu ray disc. Arrived in good condition and still had its plastic seals.

    Well worth the money

    I purchased this drive on a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. With a minor firmware downgrade this drive works great for making UHD discs. The only complaints I have are two. 1) The support software that comes with it is written only in Japanese so I was out of luck trying to install it. It didn't really matter. I use several apps that recognize this drive for its capabilities so had no need for the included software. 2) The drive has the capability to utilize a 5 volt, 1.5 amp power adapter for when additional power may be needed. It doesn't come with an adapter and doesn't include a link on where to buy one specifically recommended for it. These two issues are not a game breaker. The drive is still well worth the money.     Possible to flash it with libredrive enabled firmware for MakeMKV

    Comes with firmware BU14, flashable with a libredrive enabled firmware to make it MakeMKV ready. Works out of the box, you don't have to remove the drive for flashing.

    The sotware that came the unit does not download in to the computer for that reason it does not work. I tried on windows 11 and windows 10 no success.
