I know it's hard to believe but this book genuinely did make it easy for me to quit smoking. It was recomended to me by a junior doctor about five years ago and he told me how after reading it his brother just simply stopped smoking. It took me a good few years to really have my head in the right place but after reading the book I'm not all that sure that waiting those years for the "right time" had much to do with it. The book is just so good at deconstructing all the psychological nonsense that goes with smoking that, once I'd read it, I wished I'd have done so years earlier. It's now 13 months after I read the book and 13 months since my last cigarette. I won't bore you with the whole list of health benefits, for me it's pretty long. I say this is the most valuabe book you'll ever buy because so far it's saved me over £2,900 (I used to smoke roughly 15 a day). So, whatever you pay for this book it'll pay for itself ten times over within a few weeks. It's a short-ish book, which I found helps. I got through it in a week by reading up to two hours a night. I hadn't read a book in years back then so keen readers should get through it quicker. Do yourself a favour. Read this book.Read full review

I read this book when I 34 and have quit for now 15 years.. it was dare I say it a pleasurable way to quit rand allen manages to make you disassociate yourself from the craving. I bought this for my son who now wants to quit. Love the fact you can smoke through the book and he gently knocks down the reasons for smoking that you thought were valid. (After meals etc) best purchase I have ever bought and saved my health and thousands of pounds !

If you really want to stop smoking for good this book will help you do just that - I know it’s just a book but as skeptical as I was I read the entire thing in a day (it’s so easy to read) and haven’t touched a cig since nor have I wanted to. There are no gross horror stories about all the bad things smoking does to your body, if you’ve had enough of smoking seriously give this book a try.

first time I heard of this book is when I was reading the life of Ellen Degenerate . the t. v. commedien. She stated that she once smoked until she read this book and recommends it . so I purchased it on ebay and am so far through . by god alan carr does talk sense .Here's hoping I quit long term smoking of which increased when I lost my son to cancer last year. fingers crossed everyone. Have read the book but unfortunately not stopped yet . I will have to re-read it again. which is what it tells you to do . hopefully second time around it will work .

I bought this book over 8 years ago. Since then I’ve bought numerous copies as gifts to friends and family who are fed up of smoking. It really worked for me. Don’t get me wrong it’s not an exciting book but the words anti brainwash you. You’re not scared about stopping. You understand that after 3 days no more nicotine and after 3 weeks no more habit. A breath of fresh air. An eye opener. My tip is reread the book after finishing your last cigarette again and again. Never wanted to smoke and I’m a very happy non smoker.
