Though for some reason, the tip is electrically live with relatively low voltage? I assume something in the ballpark of 5 volts? I'm not entirely sure what's causing this but when I solder wires on my trains it either lights up cars on the tracks or arcs on live metal surfaces. Be weary of that but other than that, good soldering iron even if the cords are pla instead of silicone
