The 500 GB Hitachi Deskstar is an internal HDD suitable for RAID arrays, digital video surveillance, tiered storage and disk-to-disk backup. The drive has a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, enabling the quick transfer of large files. Native command queuing prioritizes multiple read and write commands for execution, guaranteeing stable and efficient operation. The staggered spin-up feature prevents excessive power consumption while rotational vibration safeguard technology ensures the drive is reliable and durable. The internal HDD has hot-swapping capability, so you can replace your existing drive with a new one in case of a drive failure -ideal for that data you simply can't afford to lose. With no toxic and hazardous chemicals used in its manufacture, the drive is also fully RoHS compliant.
