I ordered the 48" for just a little more room and a little more bagginess and the 48" waist works out great for me with a belt. Really nice quality material and very attractive appearance. I'm six foot tall with large build and these shorts hang well below the knee like I wanted. I'm very happy with them. I ordered another pair, same size in black plaid too.
