12 Strong: The Declassified True Story of the Horse Soldiers, by Doug Stanton, is a compelling true story about the Horse Soldiers, the first groups of special forces into Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers and the Pentagon. However, the author uses many words that do not have to be used, such as foul language and the relating of immoral scenes and incidents. If not for these things, the book would have received five stars, but unfortunately, the author put them in there.

The book was good as new, which it was. I've read the story twice, titled "Horse Soldiers". It's a feel-good book, and I would recommend it to everyone.

I saw the movie first (which I recommend). The book goes into a lot more detail. I really liked the movie & the book. See the movie & THEN read the book. Both are very compelling !

I can't write completely about this book, since I haven't finished reading it.. But I think it is a great read for anyone who loves true stories about our soldiers, who fight to keep us free.... Read and enjoy a great book..

Only just started. But I can see it needs more maps. The trim size is awkward for the number of pages.
