    A classic comedy for anyone who has ever decided to build a home

    My wife and I first saw this movie twenty years ago, which was a few years after we built our first home together as a young couple. We loved the movie because of the great interplay between the characters and because we saw ourselves in the Blandings as they stumbled through the process of getting their dream home built. We saw this movie again recently with our own now grown children and we all very much enjoyed it. It is a timeless classic!

    A classic gem of acting and pipe smoking.

    What a great movie. Don’t need color because this movie 🎥 is perfect in black and white. Made a remake called “the money pit” starring Tom Hanks that’s also good as well. Sophisticated humor. The older the movie gets the better it is to watch.

    Absolutely so funny !!!

    The best in sophisticated humor. Cary Grant and Myrna Loy at their best. In fact, everyone in this film is funny. I know from personal experience that many of these things happen when remodeling, and seeing it portrayed with such great direction keeps the viewer laughing !
