great but be prepared to do some work
these tender shells require four screws to attach the whistle and trucks to the shell. some of these shells need to be repaired but its hard. to tell the truth I don,t know how to tell a 2466 shell from a 1666-4 I may be wrong but I think the 1666-4 shell will work on a 2466 base.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Lionel lines 2466wx tender
Dissappointed with this product. Upon receiving the item and first inspection, it was missing a pick up roller. A quick test on a track revealed that it didn't work. After taking it apart (which I don't recommend if your not acquainted with electric trains) I discovered a broken wire that I had to solder back in place. The motor was filthy and needed cleaned. It now works fine. I really didn't appreciate spending the amount I spent on this product and had to repair and clean it myself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
